Overview of DHA Islamabad Phase 2
DHA Islamabad project was launched with a vision of changing luxury living concepts in Pakistan through a progressive approach by upgrading the complete living experience. The project dates back almost 2 decades as it was launched in February 1994 and even today, it is regarded as one of the prime residential communities in Pakistan. DHAI Phase 2 is stretched over 15,046 kanals of land and as of Dec, 2012 more than 90 percent of the project work has been completed. The apex of Defence Housing Authority Islamabad Phase 2 is at Rawat while the base runs parallel to Soan River. The development work has been initiated and will be completed soon. Electricity fluctuation and load shedding is a major issue in Pakistan but to provide better living solution to the inhabitants, DHA management has set up a Grid Station in 2009.
To ensure beautiful surroundings, water tanks and even tube-well areas are aesthetically designed and placed accordingly throughout the community. Wastewater treatment and recycling plant is also installed within the community. At the same time, drip and sprinkler technology is used for irrigation purposes. Keeping in view the elite society needs, three petrol stations are also planned. Each of these gas stations is equipped with a spare parts shop, service station, mini mart, CNG facility, workshop and mini restaurant as well. Within the society, four plots have been set aside for school and college level institutions. Focused attention has also been given to special education. Four schools have already been constructed within the phase 2. Soon the schools will be upgraded to offer higher education.
Other than all these basic facilities, each sector within phase 2 comprises of main market including shops catering to daily needs, mosque, educational institutions, medical and dental clinics, pharmacies, parks, playing areas and jogging tracks for the residents. A prominent corporate commercial development named World Trade Centre Islamabad is also launched in DHA Islamabad Phase 2. Other than this, the talk of the town Jacaranda Family Club and Community Centre are also to be constructed in Phase 2.
