Taiser Town, also known as Lyari Basti, is a neighbourhood that comes in the territory of Malir Town in Karachi. The scheme was initially developed by the Malir Development Authority for the people who got displaced due to the construction of Lyari Expressway. It is located near other famous neighbourhoods of Karachi like Gulshan-e-Maymar, Khuda Ki Basti, and Northern Bypass. The project was launched in 2003 and, since then, it has made speedy progress. Around 9,900 properties have been constructed here, while 6,500 are still work-in-progress.
Plots in Taiser Town are in high demand since it’s one of the most promising upcoming real estate projects on the outskirts of the city, along with Bahria Town and DHA City. A large number of options are available in the area, especially in Sectors 72, 74, 76, 79, 80, and 81. Sub-areas like Gulshan-e-Noor, Salafia Society, and Gulshan-e-Usman also have some profitable options. Mostly, there are 80, 120, and 240 sq. yd plots for sale in Taiser Town. Even transport routes have been laid down to link Taiser Town to the main city. The housing scheme has many parks, including Garden City Park and Chapal Uptown Park. A big chunk of the land has also been dedicated to playgrounds. There are a number of police stations located in nearby areas. For example, Ahsanabad Police Station in Gulshan-e-Maymar is located at a distance of about 7.5 km, Surjani Town Police Station, roughly 16 km, and New Karachi Police Station is almost 14 km away.
Since its development, many educational facilities have been built in Taiser Town that offers classes from Montessori to intermediate levels. Some also have O/A level systems too. Some important names in this regard are The Citizens Foundation School, Amal-e-Danish School, Saadi Public School, Karachi Cambridge School, LERP School, and Holy Mountain School. Going to the closest possible universities like DOW University, NED University, University of Karachi or Iqra University North Campus will take you at least 30 minutes to reach.
Al Huda Trust Hospital is the main healthcare facility in Taiser Town. Other than this, there are small clinics like Roshan Clinic, Dr Hisham Family Clinic, Ehsan Family Clinic and Maternity Home, and Ameen Clinic.
Taiser Town has several small shopping plazas and markets. Residents can shop for clothes, accessories, electronics, and other basic necessities at these spots. Mateen Store, Jadoon Centre, Jillani Market, and Lakhani Blessing are a few names worth mentioning in this regard. Located nearby is North Karachi, which has Omega Mall and Karachi Shopping Mall. There’s Taiser Shopping Mall in Gulshan-e-Maymar as well. Inside, there are a number of local eateries for food lovers. You can conveniently eat out at Darbar Restaurant, Balouch Hotel, Hot Pot Restaurant and Pakwan Centre, and Qazi Hot & Tasty Roll.
