The news comes as a sigh of relief for people who were left waiting for more than a year for the balloting date, which had initially been announced for February 2018, before being delayed for an unspecified period. A tentative date of 21st December had been given at the end of last month as per the latest updates on LDA City’s balloting.
As per the recent news, the computerised distribution and balloting of plots will be held on Nov 30, while transfer requests would only be entertained until the 16th of November. The working paper of the balloting policy would also be sent to the concerned governing body for approval now that the date has been announced.
LDA City’s plot balloting will focus on the allocation of around 9,000 plots to file holders, and Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) will also be brought on board to ensure an organised and computerised approach to the balloting of plots.
