THINGS TO CONSIDER
While Bahria Town is indeed a one-of-its-kind housing community that almost has it all, there are a couple of things that you ought to consider before investing in property here. For example, you can’t rely on public transport for your daily commute if you are living in this area. Rickshaws are not as readily available here as in the main city. Also, since it’s situated on the outskirts of Lahore, getting to work can be a bit of hassle, if, of course, you work in the main city. Also, there aren’t a lot of choices when it comes to fueling stations in the area.
RESIDENT'S TAKE ON BAHRIA TOWN LAHORE
Two residents of Bahria Town Lahore had similar views and experiences of living in the area:
"Bahria Town is providing all the amenities which guarantee peace of mind. Water filtration plants, parks, zoo, canal, mosques, 24/7 security, schools, banks, restaurants, everything is there to ensure a quality lifestyle. The best part is their top-notch security which is a major relief knowing that my family resides in a secure community while I am away from home. They charged me a mandatory 25K while building the house for a security system. It has been installed at all exit points of the house, when I turn it on, if any of the exit points are accessed, the system triggers and the alarm in house rings and an alert pops up at Bahria's security centre. I have not experienced such high standards of security by any developer in Pakistan. A major con about living in Bahria is that the entrance from Canal Road creates a huge traffic jam during morning and evening office hours, school time, and Jumma prayer time. There is at least 30mins delay just to enter or leave Bahria Town during these times."
A resident living in Phase 8 of Bahria Town says:
"I have been living in Bahria Town, Phase-8 since January 2018. I found this place to be very peaceful and green. The people living here are peace loving. Bahria Town has all the necessities of life (Marts, Food Outlets, Clothing Outlets, Bakeries, Meat Shops, Vegetables and Fruit Shops, etc) and the pleasures of modern living. The areas of improvement are; 1. there are very limited options of schools within the town. 2. In-case personal transport is not available then the only option to travel is Careem which becomes a worry during morning time due to unavailability of rides but rest of the day the rides are usually available."
