ABOUT PUNJAB GOVERNMENT SERVANTS HOUSING FOUNDATION, SIALKOT

The Punjab Government Servants Housing Scheme Foundation (PGSHF) Act put into effect in 2004 states that it would provide housing to government servants and their families in case of death during their service to the government. All government servants of Punjab are eligible for the foundation, and they have the option to choose from 10 stations selected for these housing societies, including Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Sargodha, and Sialkot. Since the initial announcement, PGSHF has provided housing to more than 3,000 government servants.

Similar to the Defence Forces Housing Scheme, it is a no-profit no-loss project, established to award the zeal and dedication of government servants. The government of Punjab launched this initiative as a social security benefit, which is free of cost except for the development and construction cost.
