With over a thousand cities and towns, Pakistan has five metropolitan cities; Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar. Each of these cities are unique and famous for a variety of reasons, however, Karachi being the largest city of the country is often compared with other metropolises. The most famous debate is of Karachi v\/s Lahore, and in this blog we will compare the busy Karachi with the country\u2019s capital, Islamabad.&nbsp; Let\u2019s take a closer look at life in Islamabad v\/s Karachi under the livability index\u2019s various factors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s begin evaluating lifestyle in Islamabad v\/s Karachi by looking at each of these factors individually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"life-in\"><strong>Life In Islamabad V\/S Karachi<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We will be using the Livability Indicators to understand how each city fares up. Resultantly, its major cities, Islamabad and Karachi faced the brunt of the deteriorating security situation. However, in the last decade the country has made significant improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>World Crime Index<\/strong> has ranked Islamabad at<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/blog\/world-crime-index-islamabad-ranks-safer.html#:~:text=Current%20Crime%20Index%20of%20Islamabad,a%20total%20of%20328%20cities.\" target=\"_blank\"> 301<sup>st<\/sup> position out of 374 cities<\/a>. This ranking has put Islamabad as a safer city than major cities Amsterdam, Sydney, Paris and Berlin. On the other hand, Karachi has been ranked at 103rd position as of October 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the mid-year 2019 World Crime Index report, Islamabad has moved up from its 244<sup>th<\/sup> position, while Karachi improved its overall ranking from being at 71st during the same time. This achieved stability translates into various socio-economic indicators that contribute towards livability.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a recent report, <strong>Annual Report on Investment Security of China\u2019s Belt and Road Construction (2021)<\/strong>, Pakistan has secured the top 10 spot for most improvement reported in Ease of Doing Business. The State Bank of Pakistan also notes that Pakistan\u2019s economic security has increased by 220% during the last decade, which is a remarkable feat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pakistan\u2019s overall business environment has improved significantly, owing to the country\u2019s development as it moves forward with the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/blog\/updates-employment-generation-cpec.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> second phase of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)<\/a>.
