The system allows individuals and families from all across the country to add their personal and household information to the national database with a few simple clicks on their computers or mobile phones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deadline for self-enumeration for the 2023 Census in Pakistan is <strong>March 3, 2023<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar, around 98% of the data collection process for the upcoming census will be completed online. Moreover, the data is collected on the basis of \u2018Household,\u2019 which means an individual can easily register others who share the same address without any hassle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the self-enumeration portal, which went live on February 20, 2023, states that hostels, religious institutions, rehabilitation centres, orphanages, and old-age homes are considered \u2018Collective Households.\u2019 Hence, they are not eligible for the self-enumeration portal.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"How-to-Self-Enumerate\">Step-By-Step Guide on Self-Enumeration for the 2023 Census<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is how you can enumerate yourself for the upcoming digital census in Pakistan.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Registration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Please visit the official <a href=\"https:\/\/self.pbs.gov.pk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">PBS Self-Enumeration Portal<\/a> and click on the \u2018Register\u2019 button on the top right corner of the screen. You will be redirected to a new web page and asked to enter the following details:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mobile Network<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mobile Number<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Password&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Present Residential Address&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Present District of Living&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Present Tehsil of Living<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have filled in the relevant fields, please click on the \u2018Sign Up\u2019 button at the bottom of the page. The portal will then ask you to enter the six-digit code sent to your registered mobile number to verify your account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Log in to the Portal<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After you have entered the code and completed the registration process, the PBS portal will ask you to log in using the new credentials.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Add Family Members&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This section is divided into two segments. In the first part, users must add the names, ages, genders and other details of the people who have lived or intend to live and eat together in the same home for six months. You can also add the details of the household members who are temporarily living elsewhere. However, please do not register any temporary guests as a part of your household.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After filling out the required fields, click on \u2018Save Member\u2019 to add the next individual. Once all members have been added, select \u2018Go to Next Step.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second part requires basic details of each individual you have added to the list \u2013 including their religion, mother tongue, level of education, employment status, migration history, and functional limitations (if any).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: Please make sure to enter the details of the head of the household first. The remaining members must also be added in chronological order.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4: Enter Housing Information&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After submitting the information about each family member, users will be asked to enter details about their residence. The online form requires individuals to enter information about the status of the household, the owner of the house, the material used for the house, the source of drinking water, and more.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 5: Verify Your Data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have completed both sections of the online self-enumeration portal, make sure to review the details added for each household member. If the forms require any changes, please click on the relevant field to update the information.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 6: Submit Your Data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The last step of the self-enumeration process requires the users to submit the completed Census questionnaire.
