More than 90% of the real estate developers in Pakistan target 10% of the country\u2019s population and, ironically, this 10% of the population uses these projects to stack their extra money. Consequently, to no one\u2019s surprise, the housing shortfall<\/a> in the country continues to increase and quite unfortunately, this dangerous trend doesn\u2019t appear to be ending any time soon.<\/p>\n

It is obvious that the low income strata of the Pakistan\u2019s population is largely homeless. Many poor families don\u2019t earn enough to pay the monthly instalment of a plot, which in case of the cheapest projects, starts from PKR 15,000; constructing a house on this plot seems to be an even more far-fetched dream for them. And honestly, these folks don\u2019t waste their energies worrying about having a home of their own, they have bigger problems to deal with, like arranging for their families\u2019 bread and butter.<\/p>\n

Would you be surprised if told you that an organization has crafted a well-thought-out solution to the fix this ever-increasing housing shortfall in the country? Yes, I reckon.<\/p>\n

Ansar Management Company (AMC) is operating since 2009 to offer accommodation to the families with monthly income ranging from PKR 8,000 and PKR 16,000 per month. Safia Homes, Faisalabad is AMC\u2019s recent project. The company doesn\u2019t just build affordable housing<\/a> units but communities where people have access to facilities such as play areas, parks, masjids, <\/em>clean water and electricity. These affordable dwellings are green, well maintained and secure, with no sewerage issues and they also have a solid waste management system.<\/p>\n

Safia Homes is located in Ada Johal on Lahore-Faisalabad Road. It is the only housing project of the town that offers a home loan facility powered by House Building Finance Corporation Limited on easy terms. Furthermore, the society also has a community centre and an operational medical facility. Bear in mind that all projects launched by AMC have a proper town plan with government approved building bylaws in place. Since Safia Homes is located close to the industries of Faisalabad, the development is popular among the factory workers.<\/p>\n

The project features 1, 2 and 3 bedroom houses that have a price tag of PKR 1,100,000, 1,250,000 and PKR 1,400,000 respectively. AMC has a stringent criteria to determine who deserves to buy a house in Safia Homes, which can be booked by paying 15% of the total cost while the remaining amount can be paid in an instalment plan that spans 20 years. The units are offered for sale only when they are ready so that the buyer can move in right away. There are however certain conditions:<\/p>\n
