What is IoT?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

IoT, or the Internet of Things, implies to the millions of global devices that are connected to the internet. These devices collect and exchange data and it is possible for users to operate them remotely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wireless networks and cheap processors are making revolutionary changes in the world of technology. It is now possible to make any device a part of the IoT. Be it your refrigerator or your lights; users can operate all home devices remotely. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also say that technology advancements are adding some level of digital intelligence to the otherwise dumb devices, allowing them to exchange real-time data without any human help. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like we mentioned, web-enabled devices communicate information that is collected from their surroundings via embedded sensors, processors, and software. We can control or monitor this machine to machine communication through our smartphones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the initial setup is complete, a large percentage of devices become capable of collecting and sending data automatically. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to its nature, IoT enables today\u2019s common devices to \u2018serve\u2019 rather than \u2018work\u2019 and create smart houses in future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For instance, coffee starts brewing every morning, as soon as your alarm goes off. If your child forgets to keep the home keys and you\u2019re not home, you can always unlock the door from work. If you have babysitters or domestic help in your absence, you can safely monitor your home remotely. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
