{"id":63644,"date":"2019-07-24T13:19:59","date_gmt":"2019-07-24T13:19:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/blog\/?p=63644"},"modified":"2019-07-25T11:15:53","modified_gmt":"2019-07-25T11:15:53","slug":"overview-fbr-new-property-valutaion-rates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zameen.com\/blog\/overview-fbr-new-property-valutaion-rates.html","title":{"rendered":"FBR\u2019s New Property Valuation Rates for 20 Major Cities Go Into Effect"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has notified\nits revisions to the valuation rates of immovable properties for 20 cities (including\nGwadar, Jhelum, and Karachi) \u2013 which will come into effect from today (July 24)\nonwards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These rate amendments indicate an aggregate\nincrease of 30% from the board\u2019s previously implemented figures; bringing the\nFBR rates up to 80-85% of their corresponding properties\u2019 (location-specific) fair\nmarket values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under a similar arrangement communicated in February, the FBR had increased the property valuation rates by up to 20% in 20 of the country\u2019s major metropolises; making this announcement the board\u2019s second attempt (in five months) to bring its valuation rates at par with real market rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following this latest announcement\n(preceded by its approval by the law ministry), the said authority has started\nto enforce the revised rates in Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Gujrat,\nHyderabad, Islamabad, Jhang, Jhelum, Karachi, Lahore, Mardan, Multan, Peshawar,\nQuetta, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Sukkur, and Gwadar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Lahore<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For Lahore, the board has intimated its revised\nvaluation rates for residential and commercial properties situated in several\ncity locations; including in Allama Iqbal Town, Samanabad Town, and Gulberg\nTown.
