The same goes for accidentally misplacing your phone. Next, please make sure to lodge a complaint with PTA to block the handset via the Lost\/Stolen Device System (LSDS). There are two ways you can go about doing so:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Submit an online complaint form on the official website<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>File a complaint through PTA CMS mobile app<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s discuss each of these methods in more detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Online Complaint Form<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is a step-by-step guide to lodging a complaint by completing the online form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Visit the official PTA website<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hover above the \u2018Consumer Support\u2019 tab in the top navigation bar and click on \u2018Consumer Services\u2019 in the drop-down menu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on \u2018Consumer Complaints\u2019 in the new menu. It will redirect you to a new webpage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose \u2018Online Complaint Form\u2019 to file your complaint<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select \u2018Stolen Mobile Handset \/ IMEI Related Complaint\u2019 on the right side of the screen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill out the relevant fields with your personal details<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>What Information Does this Online Form Require?&nbsp;<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Complainant name&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CNIC number&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Email address<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Incident city&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Incident location\/area&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Current address<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Father&#8217;s name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complaint summary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IMEI number(s)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Last number(s) in the handset (all IMEI slots)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brand<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Model<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Colour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reason for blocking&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Incident date&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The form also inquires whether the complainant has informed the police. Once you have filled out all the form, make sure to click the \u2018Generate OTP\u2019 button for verification. This 4-digit code will be sent to the mobile number you\u2019ve entered in the \u2018Last number in the handset (IMEI-1) in the form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last step is to click on the \u2018Register Complaint\u2019 button at the bottom of the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, please note that IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. It\u2019s also printed on the device packaging and can be obtained by dialling *#06# on your phone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is recommended to note down your device\u2019s IMEI number in a separate place at home so it\u2019s accessible even if your phone gets stolen, snatched or misplaced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PTA CMS Mobile App<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is how you can report and block your stolen mobile phone through the PTA CMS app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Visit Google Play Store or App Store to download the official app by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap on the \u2018Sign Up\u2019 button and enter the required details<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose \u2018New Complaint\u2019&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on \u2018Mobile Stolen\/Missing Complaint\u2019 in the new menu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the complainant\u2019s name, CNIC number, contact number, and email address<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select \u2018Nature of Complaint\u2019 and add a summary of the incident<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upload attachments, if any<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Read and accept the terms and conditions before tapping on \u2018Register Complaint\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Unblock Your Phone?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once your phone has been recovered, you can unblock it by visiting PTA\u2019s Complaint Management System. Then, move your cursor down the dropdown menu to \u2018Consumer Services\u2019 and click on the \u2018Stolen Mobile Search\u2019 button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Option 3: Through the Mobile App<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Android users can download the mobile app of Device Verification System (DVS) \u2013 DIRBS Pakistan to check the status of their lost phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that the PTA can only block your phone, rendering it useless to whoever snatched or found it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to track it down, you need to file a mobile theft report with the local police.
