This system enables citizens to give consent before the CNIC’s vertification to ensure security of citizens. Under this system, all verification transactions will require a 6-digit passcode sent to the citizen\u2019s registered mobile number to seek their consent to proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UPDATE (February, 2022):<\/strong> Nadra’s SMS service provides a convenient method for CNIC tracking and verification in Pakistan. You can utilise this service from any mobile phone and network by following these simple steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Access Your Local Messaging Application:<\/strong> Open the messaging application that is pre-installed on your mobile phone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Compose a New Message:<\/strong> Create a new message and enter the 13-digit CNIC number that requires verification. Ensure that you input the CNIC number without any dashes or spaces.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Send the Message:<\/strong> Send the message containing the CNIC number to the shortcode 7000.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Receive Confirmation:<\/strong> Shortly after sending your message, you will receive a response from Nadra. This message will include the name of the CNIC holder and the father’s name associated with that ID card.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Service Charges:<\/strong> Nadra charges a fee of Rs. 10, inclusive of tax, for SMS verification.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
