Tharparkar is one of the most important districts of Sindh like Thatta, Badin, Larkana, etc. The word Tharparkar means \u201ccrossing over sand.\u201d It comprises two words: \u201cthar,\u201d which comes from \u201cthul,\u201d which means sand ridges and \u201cparkar\u201d means \u201ccrossing over.\u201d Spreading over 4,894,663 acres, the region has a diverse population in terms of culture, religion, and ethnicity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
