I have a 40*80 plot in D-12/2 and want to construct a house there. My problem is that I need a reliable contractor who can construct the house on a turn key basis. My other option is to buy a similar sized house in I-8 with a price range of Rs 2.2-2.3 crore. I need the house in about 1 years time. Which option is the better one?

If I were you I wouldn't leave D-12 for I-8. When you go to pak next time, find out some personal references of contractors and have it constructed yourself.
Even if it takes more than a year to construct it, it will be worth the pain and time.
