What is non encumbrance certificate.And where do i get one??Is it required for bank loans??
I am not sure who to contact in Pakistan to get this document. But I can tell you what is a “no encumbrance certificate”. This certificate show there are no prior mortgage taken on the subject property. Banks are the most likely entities who would require this document as they want to ensure their investment. If you already have a mortgage and you try to take another one, the liability for the outstanding loan may also devolve on the new owner.
