LDA warned against high-rise constructions near airports

Recently, the Allama Iqbal International Airport has issued a warning to the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) against high-rise constructions near the airport’s landing area. In light of the recent PIA’s plane crash, this warning needs to be taken seriously.

The airport’s management has warned the LDA, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) among others that the high-rise constructions and other illegal developments near the airport were dangerous for incoming and outgoing flights. The management was concerned that these developments may lead to collision incidents – similar to that in the recent tragic crash in Karachi.

The airport’s management has also sent out letters to these authorities and asked for immediate action against such high-rise and illegal constructions.
