Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced plans to fully refund processing fees paid by overseas Pakistanis for the Neelor Heights Housing Project, alongside plans to prioritize these expatriates in the upcoming allotment of plots in Islamabad\u2019s Sector C-14. As per details, the plots in Sector C-14 will be allocated through a balloting process, granting preference to overseas applicants to address longstanding demands for streamlined access to real estate opportunities in Pakistan. Sector C-14, initially acquired by the CDA under a land-sharing formula, had parts of its land previously sold at low prices to a private property group and then reacquired by the CDA. The remaining plots, owned by the civic authority, will now be sold with substantial budget allocations set aside for the sector\u2019s development, underscoring the CDA\u2019s commitment to enhancing its appeal and infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the fifteenth CDA Board meeting, chaired by Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Tuesday, a series of reforms and new directives were introduced. A significant decision involved forming a seven-member committee to oversee cases filed by affectees within Islamabad, with the board also authorizing a third-party validation committee to review the committee’s recommendations and ensure transparent rehabilitation for those impacted by land acquisitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the CDA Board instructed the Law Wing to develop proposals for establishing covered markets in the capital and appointed a new legal advisor, with a rule barring former legal advisors from representing cases against the CDA for one year post-tenure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, the CDA approved new promotion pathways for Park Managers and Assistant Park Managers in the Environment Wing, while upgrading physical training instructors to grade 16 in alignment with federal standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
