Since the resumption of passenger customs clearance on April 1, the pass has recorded significant growth in traffic and trade. By the end of October 2024, over 50,000 passengers and more than 11,000 vehicles had crossed the border. The port also processed an impressive 40,900 tonnes of import and export cargo, reflecting a 42.6% year-on-year increase in vehicle traffic and a remarkable 72.7% rise in trade volume, according to Khunjerab Customs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located at an altitude of approximately 5,000 meters, the Khunjerab Pass traditionally operated seasonally, closing during the harsh winter months.
