The initiative stems from directives issued by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz. The redevelopment aims to transform Tollinton Market into a cleaner, more organised space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key upgrades will include the installation of advanced sewerage systems, exhaust systems, and waste disposal mechanisms to ensure a dirt-free environment. Additionally, encroachments will be removed, parking facilities expanded, and the market\u2019s overall aesthetics enhanced. LDA Director Farooq emphasised that these improvements will be achieved in collaboration with local trader unions and shopkeepers. He highlighted that the modernization efforts will help provide hygienic meat to residents of Lahore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the market visit, Director Farooq inspected development projects underway in B-3 Block Gulberg. Encroachments and unauthorised green belts outside houses in the area are being dismantled as part of this initiative.
