Islamabad:<\/em> The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced plans to establish a state-of-the-art Food Street in Blue Area, alongside several other tourism and recreational projects aimed at enhancing the city\u2019s appeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decision was made during a high-level meeting chaired by CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, on Tuesday. The proposed Food Street will feature a variety of high-quality local and international food brands, modern infrastructure, and ample parking facilities\u2014addressing a long-standing issue in the capital. Additionally, the project will include beautifully designed pathways, electric carts for the elderly and children, and a cashless payment system to enhance convenience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chairman Randhawa emphasized that the Food Street will be developed to meet international standards, featuring modern lighting, common seating areas, and strict health and hygiene protocols. He directed the relevant departments to expedite work and ensure the project is completed within the shortest possible timeframe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the Food Street, the CDA is also working on several initiatives to boost tourism and recreational activities in Islamabad. These include the introduction of a cable car system, a zip line, and the revival of the Art and Craft Village. Feasibility reports for these projects have been ordered to be prepared promptly. Additionally, plans for a Safari Park and a Cultural Center were reviewed during the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
