Lahore: Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza has directed urgent action to address critical sanitation issues in Lahore, ordering officials to repair damaged sewer lines and cover open manholes immediately. During his visit to various city localities on Saturday, the DC emphasized that any negligence in these areas would not be tolerated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The instructions come as part of an ongoing effort to improve the city\u2019s sanitation conditions in line with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz\u2019s vision for a cleaner and more livable Lahore. Syed Musa Raza, who has intensified field inspections as part of the Clean Mission, underscored the importance of maintaining the city’s infrastructure to ensure public safety and hygiene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Deputy Commissioner also issued strong directives to the Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL) to continue its crackdown on illegal encroachments. \u201cNot even an inch of encroachment will be tolerated,\u201d he stated, as he inspected several areas, including Quaid-e-Azam Interchange, Rampura, Canal Road, and Qasim Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accompanied by MCL Chief Officer Shahid Abbas Kathia and Assistant Commissioner Wahga Town Aamir Butt, the DC toured key locations in Wagah Town to assess the on-ground implementation of cleanliness measures. The inspection focused on evaluating the city\u2019s sanitation efforts and the maintenance of critical infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expressing his concern over the presence of garbage at certain spots, the DC issued clear instructions to Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) officials to prioritize the removal of waste from these areas. “LWMC authorities must clear identified garbage points immediately and ensure such negligence does not recur,” he warned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, Syed Musa Raza engaged with local residents, who expressed appreciation for the improved cleanliness arrangements.
