Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced a new initiative to protect citizens from fraudulent housing schemes by publishing a zone-wise list of illegal housing societies on its official website. This move aims to ensure transparency and help individuals make informed investment decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decision was made during the 7th meeting of the CDA Board, held at the CDA Headquarters on Tuesday, which was chaired by CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The CDA will not only upload this list on its website but will also highlight these illegal societies through various media outlets to ensure widespread public awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chairman Randhawa stated, \u201cTo ensure transparency and protect the rights of citizens, CDA will make both legal and illegal housing society data available to the public. This will help prevent people from falling victim to unauthorised and unapproved developments.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the CDA will publish the names of legal housing societies on the website, categorised by zone, allowing the public to verify the legal status of any housing scheme before making an investment. This step is aimed at providing a simple and accessible way for residents to check the legitimacy of any real estate venture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CDA also approved the hiring of a consultant for a third-party audit of ongoing development projects to enhance accountability and ensure the transparent execution of these projects. Other key decisions during the meeting included the approval of new positions to improve efficiency in the Estate Management Directorate-3, the restoration of a plot in I-8 Markaz, and the development of the Arts and Craft Village into a model cultural hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
