Those selected through a draw will also be able to apply for loans to help construct their homes. CM Nawaz highlighted that beneficiaries will be offered a three-month grace period to start construction, with repayment options available in convenient instalments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Districts covered in the first phase include Jhelum, Pattoki, Mamun Kanjan, Lodhran, and Renala Khurd. The Chief Minister emphasized that this initiative reflects the vision of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. \u201cWhen I share with him that homes are being completed, his face lights up with joy,\u201d she remarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CM Nawaz also addressed the larger housing crisis, noting that many people in Punjab still don\u2019t have access to land for building homes. \u201cThis isn\u2019t just about 34,000 houses being built \u2014 these are 34,000 prayers,\u201d she said, referring to the scale of construction under the broader <em>Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar<\/em> programme. She added that 2,000 homes have already been completed and that governments in the past hadn\u2019t achieved such progress even during full terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSecurity comes from owning your own home,\u201d she said. \u201cBut for the average person, it\u2019s becoming nearly impossible to afford one.
