According to a notification issued Thursday, the FBR has instructed Chief Commissioners Inland Revenue at Large Taxpayer Offices (LTOs), Medium Taxpayer Offices (MTOs), Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs), and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) to implement the revised timeline across the board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The extension has been granted under the authority of Section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990 and Section 43 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The move follows a request by the Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA), which had earlier urged the tax authority to extend the e-filing deadline due to technical challenges and compliance issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
