Chakwal tehsil was hit the hardest, with 114 villages impacted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A comprehensive damage assessment led by the deputy commissioner detailed widespread losses to infrastructure, private residences, livestock, and public sector facilities. A total of 2,973 houses were damaged\u2014136 completely destroyed and 2,837 partially damaged. Damages were reported in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>60 schemes under the Highways Department<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>18 under Small Dams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>30 under Local Government<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>73 under School Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6 under Higher Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10 under the Health Department<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Local municipalities also sustained damage, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>14 schemes of the District Council<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>7 in Chakwal Municipal Committee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 in Talagang<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 in Choa Saidan Shah<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 in Kallar Kahar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>So far, the PDMA has released PKR 5 million as an initial relief grant, which district officials say is insufficient given the scale of destruction.
