Islamabad The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has unveiled an ambitious plan to construct 25 cricket grounds, 25 football grounds, and several modern sports complexes across Islamabad, alongside a series of infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving the city\u2019s livability and recreational appeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement came during a high-level meeting chaired by CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa at CDA Headquarters. He said the initiative reflects the authority\u2019s commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle, enhancing public facilities, and providing quality recreational spaces, particularly for the youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sports facilities will feature state-of-the-art infrastructure and be strategically located across various sectors to ensure accessibility for all communities. In addition to new construction, existing football and cricket grounds will be upgraded to modern standards, paddle courts will be introduced, and pedestrian bridges in recreational areas will be improved for safer movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the broader plan, the CDA will also focus on upgrading major roads, building underpasses to ease traffic congestion, restoring green spaces, and installing modern streetlights to enhance safety during evening activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
