Islamabad: The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has called on the federal government to take urgent and effective measures to resolve the difficulties faced by overseas Pakistanis both abroad and at domestic airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a letter addressed to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, SCBA President Mian Rauf Atta shared observations from his recent visit abroad, highlighting the challenges that overseas Pakistanis encounter not only in foreign countries but also upon arrival in Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SCBA pointed out that Pakistani diplomatic missions often provide inadequate or delayed responses to the day-to-day concerns of overseas citizens. The association urged the government to issue clear directives to all diplomatic missions to ensure prompt and efficient facilitation for overseas Pakistanis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To further support the community, the SCBA proposed establishing a 24\/7 national helpline dedicated to assisting overseas Pakistanis with their issues and guiding them to timely solutions. Additionally, the association called for improved services at both national and international airports to ease the travel experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SCBA also demanded strict action against Customs, immigration, and Airport Security Force officials who misuse their authority, behave inappropriately, or cause unnecessary difficulties for overseas Pakistanis arriving at airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the SCBA recommended creating a complaint cell within the Foreign Office and developing a fast-track mechanism for grievance redressal. The association believes these measures will enhance trust among overseas Pakistanis and encourage their continued contributions to Pakistan\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
