The scheme, launched in 2012 for federal government officers of BPS-20 to BPS-22, was originally designed with dedicated greenbelts, parks, and playgrounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Residents, many of them retired senior bureaucrats, argue that carving out new plots on land reserved for public spaces would be a violation of environmental laws as well as the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Officials said the case is currently under review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not the first attempt to alter the plan.
