Senior officials, including RDA Chief Planner Muhammad Tahir Mew, Director Land Ghazanfar Ali Awan, Director Building Control Samiullah Niazi, Director MP&amp;TE Atif Mehmood Chaudhry, and representatives of Mott MacDonald, were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the MoU, a comprehensive framework will be developed to guide urban growth along the 8.38-kilometre stretch of the Ring Road with a 500-metre-wide belt. The corridor will feature economic zones, residential communities, health and education facilities, industrial hubs, transport terminals, recreational spaces, and business centres, transforming the project into Pakistan\u2019s first modern urban development model based on the concept of an economic corridor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RDA Director-General Kinza Murtaza hailed the initiative as a \u201chistoric milestone\u201d for the city, noting that it would contain urban sprawl, ease chronic traffic congestion, and ensure sustainable growth.
