The service is expected to hit the roads by December 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Sindh Senior Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon on Monday. The session was attended by Transport Secretary Asad Zamin, Sindh Mass Transit Authority Managing Director Kanwal Nizam Bhutto, and other senior officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Briefing the meeting, Minister Memon said the provincial government is determined to provide modern, eco-friendly, and affordable transport options to the public. He added that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has taken a keen interest in the initiative, particularly in ensuring that women have access to safe and reliable travel. The new EV taxi service builds on these projects to further expand eco-friendly public transport in Karachi and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The minister also confirmed that double-decker buses and additional EV buses will soon be added to the network, while infrastructure and charging stations are being developed to support the EV fleet.
