Lahore: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) and the Department of Health and Population Welfare have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide on-site medical facilities to PHA employees through the \u201cClinic on Wheels\u201d initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the agreement, the health department will deliver healthcare services to nearly 8,000 PHA employees at their workplaces via mobile medical units. In return, the PHA will be responsible for improving horticulture and greenery in hospitals operating under the primary and secondary healthcare department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The signing ceremony was attended by Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare and Population Welfare Khawaja Imran Nazir, PHA Director General Raja Mansoor Ahmad, and Special Secretary Health Aun Abbas, who formally signed and exchanged the documents. Senior officials Ahmad Saeed Manj and Sonia Kaleem were also present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the event, Minister Nazir said the Punjab government is committed to ensuring accessible and quality healthcare for all citizens. He added that the \u201cClinic on Wheels\u201d project reflects the chief minister\u2019s vision to bring medical services closer to workplaces and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis initiative is a valuable gift for PHA employees, allowing them to receive medical check-ups and medicines at their work sites without having to take leave or visit hospitals,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PHA DG Raja Mansoor Ahmad shared that the authority maintains over 800 parks across Lahore through its workforce of around 8,000 employees. He added that, under the new arrangement, the PHA will enhance greenery and landscaping in government hospitals to create healthier and more welcoming environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
