Islamabad: Construction work on three major infrastructure projects in Islamabad \u2014 the T-Chowk Flyover, Shaheen Chowk Underpass, and Faizabad Interchange remodeling \u2014 has reached its final stages, with accelerated progress reported across all sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the projects on Sunday to review ongoing activities. He expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, instructing authorities to ensure timely completion by deploying all available resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Faizabad Interchange, the minister directed the expansion of Loop 1 and Loop 2 to three lanes to further ease traffic flow. He also ordered the installation of landscaping and lighting along the projects to improve visual appeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa briefed the minister on progress at each site. He noted that nearly 80 percent of the T-Chowk Flyover is complete and expected to open for traffic in early December. All pile caps and girder casting have been finished, with 75 percent of protective walls in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Shaheen Chowk, all 70 girders for the underpass have been launched, and remaining structural work is nearing completion. Ramp 1 and Ramp 2 are already fully constructed. Progress at the Faizabad Interchange remains steady, with pole foundations and RCC walls completed and asphalt work underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials highlighted that upon completion, these projects will significantly improve traffic movement, reduce congestion, and facilitate daily commuting for residents and travelers from the twin cities and Punjab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit was attended by CDA members, the Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, and other senior officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
