Islamabad: The Shaheen Chowk underpass in Islamabad has been opened for traffic as part of the Capital Development Authority\u2019s (CDA) ongoing development initiatives, marking the completion of 18 projects in 2025, including five major road projects. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi attended the opening on Wednesday, the last day of the year, and praised the efforts of the CDA, contractors, and interior ministry officials in completing the project. He noted that the formal inauguration of the underpass will be carried out by the prime minister, but it was opened early as part of New Year celebrations. Among the notable projects completed in 2025 were the Serena Interchange, Murree Road underpass, F-8 Interchange, T Chowk flyover, Shaheen Chowk underpass, Park Road upgrades, and the Business Facilitation Centre.
