On a month-on-month basis, remittances were 13% higher than the USD 3.2 billion received in November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cumulatively, remittance inflows during the first half of fiscal year 2025\u201326 reached USD 19.7 billion, registering an 11% increase from USD 17.8 billion received in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A country-wise breakdown showed that Saudi Arabia remained the largest source of remittances in December, with overseas Pakistanis sending USD 813 million. Inflows from the United Kingdom amounted to USD 560 million, reflecting a 28% annual increase and a 16% rise on a monthly basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overseas Pakistanis in the United States remitted USD 302 million during December. While this was 1% lower than the amount sent in the same month last year, it showed a 9% month-on-month increase.
