The revised plan aims to widen the road from 15 feet to 20 feet on both sides and include service lanes and parking plazas, enhancing traffic flow and providing better facilities for commuters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A senior RDA official explained that the original plan included widening Murree Road and adding service lanes to ease congestion along this busy corridor. The proposal had been submitted to the Punjab government for approval and inclusion in the Annual Development Programme (ADP). However, following suggestions from the district administration, the plan was revised and sent back to the provincial authorities for final approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the updated plan, service lanes will be constructed along a three-kilometre stretch from Liaquat Bagh to Chandni Chowk. The road expansion will require around 48 kanals of land, and PKR 17.7 billion has been allocated solely for land acquisition.
