Families without land will also benefit through the Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar initiative, under which plots will be allotted and interest-free loans provided. In the first phase, 1,534 plots will be allocated through a lottery in cities including Jhelum, Kasur, Faisalabad and Lodhran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials said more than 1.88 million users have registered for the housing programme, with over 1.06 million applications currently under review. So far, 67,197 homes have been completed, while 53,843 are under construction.
