Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb briefed participants on ongoing and proposed projects, while the Chief Minister approved 14 tourism schemes, including a new chairlift project. Plans also include an eco-friendly glamping pod village, a resort, and Punjab\u2019s first modern paragliding centre in Kotli Sattian. The train will operate on a 40-kilometre route from Lake View Park to Murree Bus Stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting also decided to establish a dedicated department for the preservation of Murree\u2019s historical and cultural buildings and to restore heritage structures according to their original design. Under a public-private partnership, a hotel complex is planned in Murree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities have removed illegal three-storey buildings affecting the natural landscape, including those on Mall Road, Hall Road, and Imtiaz Shaheed Road, converting the space into parks and green areas. Road expansion work has been carried out in Upper Jhika Gali following the removal of such structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first phase of the rainwater harvesting project in Murree has been completed successfully, improving water supply for residents. In the second phase, 3,000 homes will benefit. Restoration of 23 buildings and 76 shops on Mall Road has been completed, and 70 roads in Murree and adjoining areas have been constructed or rehabilitated, with another 120 roads under development in the second phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A decision was also made to upgrade Rawalpindi, Murree, and Kashmir roads into modern highways. The Chief Minister commended Deputy Commissioner Zaher Shirazi and his team for their performance during recent snowfall, highlighting the use of mechanical snow sweepers and heavy bulldozers to clear roads promptly.
