Faisalabad: The Faisalabad divisional administration has announced a series of measures aimed at reducing pollution and promoting environmentally friendly practices in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Divisional Commissioner and Administrator Metropolitan Corporation, Raja Jehangir Anwar, said the administration is relocating industries to limit environmental hazards and ensure compliance with international export and environmental standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To encourage the use of electric vehicles, free parking for electric bikes will be introduced, and newly licensed petrol stations, including government-run and police-operated stations, are required to install EV charging points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, permanent checkpoints will be established at city entry points, with random and fixed pickets equipped with smoke emission analysers. Vehicles exceeding prescribed emission limits will be denied entry into Faisalabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The administration has also partnered with universities in the city to enhance environmental research and education, aiming to build a stronger workforce capable of addressing local environmental challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
