Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the landmark \u201cOne Punjab, One Standard\u201d policy, marking the first province-wide initiative to standardise infrastructure and urban design across Punjab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decision was taken during a special meeting chaired by the chief minister, where proposals were reviewed for establishing an autonomous authority to oversee standardisation and urban planning. An in-principle approval was granted to create a dedicated standardisation and design unit responsible for ensuring uniformity in development projects throughout the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the new policy framework, the provincial government will prepare a comprehensive standardised design manual to guide future infrastructure development. The manual will outline consistent specifications for roads, green belts, footpaths, signboards and other elements of urban infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said the initiative aims to make cities across Punjab more organised, visually appealing and efficiently managed. She noted that uniform infrastructure standards would help strengthen urban identity, improve civic management and support planned development across the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
