Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed a comprehensive digital overhaul of the National Tariff Commission (NTC) to modernise Pakistan\u2019s trade framework and improve support for domestic industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The directive came during a high-level meeting reviewing reform measures at the commission, which is responsible for investigating unfair trade practices and recommending protective duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prime minister stressed that an efficient and restructured NTC is vital for boosting industrial growth and maintaining investor confidence. He called for the adoption of information technology and artificial intelligence to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
