Muzaffarabad: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has approved 44 development projects aimed at improving infrastructure, strengthening public services, and promoting digital skills across the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The projects, with a total estimated cost of PKR 34.85 billion, were cleared during a meeting of the Cabinet Development Committee chaired by Prime Minister Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to officials, a major portion of the approved schemes focuses on the communications and works sector, including plans to expand and upgrade the road network. The initiatives include construction of link roads across constituencies to improve connectivity, particularly in remote areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The development package also places emphasis on equipping youth with modern IT skills through the establishment of IT excellence centres, aimed at enhancing employment opportunities and supporting the region\u2019s digital growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, projects have been approved to improve public services in key sectors such as health and education. These include measures to strengthen healthcare facilities and upgrade school infrastructure, including the construction of additional classrooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials said the overall development plan is designed to address infrastructure gaps and improve access to essential services for both urban and rural populations in AJK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
