Multan: The divisional administration has intensified enforcement measures against illegal and unapproved constructions along the Multan Avenue Road project, directing strict action against violations and encroachments on the corridor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The instructions were issued during a meeting chaired by Commissioner Amir Karim Khan on Tuesday, where officials reviewed development work and regulatory issues along the under-construction Multan Avenue corridor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The commissioner ordered a comprehensive crackdown on buildings constructed in violation of approved maps, setback rules, and commercialization regulations. He directed authorities to immediately remove illegal ramps, unauthorized entrances, and encroachments obstructing service roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasized that no encroachments would be tolerated on a government-funded project completed with significant public investment. The commissioner also instructed the Multan Development Authority (MDA) and District Council to compile a detailed record of all illegal constructions along Multan Avenue and ensure that service roads remain fully cleared for public use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To strengthen enforcement, he ordered the formation of a special patrolling unit to monitor the area and take immediate action against illegal road cuts, encroachments, and any damage to public property. Senior officials, including MDA Additional Director General Attaul Haq and Multan Division Director Development Mubashirur Rehman, attended the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the commissioner also visited the under-construction road linking Nag Shah Flyover to Sher Shah Interchange. He directed the contractor to complete the Rs 119 million project within two months, stressing strict adherence to deadlines and construction quality standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 3.05-kilometre road project is expected to improve connectivity between the motorway and Multan city, easing traffic flow and reducing congestion. Officials said the project includes a 24-foot-wide dual carriageway on both sides with modern carpeting and supporting infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to XEN Highways Haider Ali, the development plan features 8-inch asphalt layers, tack coat application, lane marking, installation of 2,376 cat\u2019s eyes, and 10 road signboards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
