The Sindh government has introduced a digital system for collecting taxes on property transfers, aiming to improve transparency, reduce processing delays and curb irregularities in the existing manual framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative was formalised through agreements signed between the provincial government and three commercial banks: Sindh Bank, National Bank of Pakistan, and Bank of Punjab. The agreements were signed in collaboration with the Board of Revenue Sindh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to officials, the new system will integrate local government bodies, the Board of Revenue, and participating banks through a unified online platform. This will enable direct digital collection of stamp duty and other taxes related to property transfers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said the initiative will simplify procedures and make property transfer processes faster and more transparent. He added that digitisation will help eliminate irregularities and improve overall service delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials further stated that the system will be linked with the Board of Revenue\u2019s digital infrastructure, allowing real-time processing and improved coordination between institutions involved in property taxation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government described the move as part of broader efforts to modernise public service delivery and strengthen digital governance across the province. Implementation of the system is expected in the coming months following the agreements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
