Islamabad: The Islamabad administration has reopened recreational spaces and revised business operating hours as part of updated city-wide arrangements aimed at regulating public movement and commercial activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to official statements, the capital administration has allowed all types of public and goods transport to enter the city. However, the Faizabad bus terminal will remain closed until further notice, while all other bus stands across Islamabad are operational.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recreational facilities have also been reopened. Hiking trails in the capital, along with public parks including Daman-e-Koh and Lake View Park, are now accessible to visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Separately, the administration has issued a revised notification adjusting business timings across the city. The order partially amends an earlier directive issued on April 16 and outlines new closing hours for commercial establishments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the revised schedule, all shops, markets, and shopping malls will close at 8pm throughout the week, including weekends. However, essential services such as pharmacies, hospitals, medical stores, laboratories, petrol pumps, CNG stations, and dairy shops are exempt from these restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Food-related businesses, including hotels, restaurants, grocery stores, meat and vegetable shops, bakeries, and fruit and dry fruit vendors, will be allowed to remain open until 10pm. The notification also states that takeaway and home delivery services will continue without restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sports facilities, gyms, and clubs will now be permitted to operate until 10pm, extending earlier closing hours set at 8pm. Marriage halls, marquees, and other event venues will also follow a 10pm closing time, applicable to both commercial and private events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The revised order will come into effect from April 25 and will remain in force until further notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Separately, Rawalpindi authorities confirmed that all entry and exit points of the city have been fully reopened for private, public, and goods transport. However, the Pirwadhai General Bus Stand will remain closed until further notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
