Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has updated and published a list of 98 illegal housing and agro-farming schemes operating in Islamabad, warning citizens against investing in unauthorised projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The authority uploaded the list on its official website as part of efforts to curb property fraud and protect buyers from scams involving fake or unapproved housing schemes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the CDA, the listed projects have not obtained the required No Objection Certificates (NOCs) or approvals and therefore hold no legal status in the federal capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The civic body urged the public to verify the legal status of any housing project before making investments, noting that only approved schemes are allowed to carry out development work and sell plots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CDA stated that under the CDA Ordinance 1960, ICT Zoning Regulations 1992, and revised rules for private housing schemes, developers must complete a two-stage approval process before launching projects. This includes approval of layout plans followed by issuance of an NOC after fulfilling all regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
