Karachi: Pakistan\u2019s technology exports continued their strong upward trajectory in April 2026, reaching USD 423 million, reflecting a 33% increase compared to USD 317 million recorded in the same month last year, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On a month-on-month basis, IT exports rose 2.42% from USD 413 million in March 2026, marking another consecutive month where export earnings remained above the USD 400 million threshold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cumulatively, technology exports during the first 10 months of FY2025\u201326 stood at USD 3.81 billion, up from USD 3.15 billion in the corresponding period last year, showing an annual growth of 21%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials noted that the IT and services sector remains one of Pakistan\u2019s fastest-growing export segments, driven by sustained global demand for software development, freelancing, cloud services, and business process outsourcing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication said Pakistan has already surpassed its total IT export earnings from FY2024\u201325 within the first 10 months of the current fiscal year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Industry observers attributed the growth to an expanding base of export-oriented tech firms, improved digital payment infrastructure, and increased international client engagement for Pakistani startups and software houses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
