The cabinet also directed that energy-efficiency codes be made an integral part of the policy, ensuring that new construction incorporates energy-efficient and environmentally friendly standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cabinet also reviewed progress on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif\u2019s Apna Ghar housing scheme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting was informed that banks had approved housing loans worth PKR 220 billion for applicants seeking to purchase or construct homes under the scheme.
