Now that the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has handed over possession in 69% of the clear area in LDA Avenue I, it is time for the allottees to take a sigh of relief. They must expect to see the prices of their plots rise in the near future, and those who are looking forward to building their homes there, we wish them the very best of luck!<\/p>\n

That said, there is a problem that the LDA is facing because of delays from allottees in submitting their remaining dues and completing the possession process.<\/p>\n

WARNING: <\/strong>The LDA has warned the allottees that it would cancel the allotment of plots for which the owners had not yet deposited the full price. The civic authority has told the owners to avail this opportunity and clear their dues with penalties (if any) before December 31, 2014, otherwise the authority would have no choice than to cancel the allotment. However, this decision does not apply to under-litigation properties and to the plots for which stay orders have been issued by the court.<\/p>\n

Procedure to clear dues<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are an LDA Avenue I allottee and have not submitted complete dues yet, here\u2019s how to go about doing it.<\/p>\n

You must have been given challan forms of different colours at the time of booking. You need to bring these challan forms to the one-window cell of the authority located in its Lahore office at 467-D-II, Khayaban-e-Firdousi, Johar Town, Lahore, and clear your dues there.<\/p>\n

In case you have lost the challan forms, you still need to visit the one-window cell and request the authority to guide you through the alternative procedure.<\/p>\n

The LDA usually accepts payments in the form of pay orders, however, you will also find a bank\u2019s counter in LDA\u2019s office where you can make the payment and present the receipt to the official at the one-window cell to proceed with the possession process.<\/p>\n
