The ministry purchased 3,000 kanals of land in collaboration with the firm and the firm was told to provide clear plots to the applicants of the society.<\/p>\n<p>Payment for the development of plots was agreed to be made in instalments according to the amount of work completed, and it was also agreed that the ministry would not release payment for 500 kanals of land until the project was finished.<\/p>\n<p>The minister told the committee that the project was delayed because the development firm was asking for payment in violation of the agreement. He also added that the available land was insufficient for the development of 3,253 plots, as judged by the ministry\u2019s consultant, the National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK).<\/p>\n<p>He also told the committee that a legal notice was served to the firm and if the firm failed to take sufficient measures to complete the project, a new one would be hired.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sector G-14<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The minister informed the committee that illegal occupation of land was causing delays in the completion of Sector G-14.
