Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has planned to implement mechanical methods to clean major avenues in the federal capital and to collect garbage door-to-door. This was decided in a recent meeting with CDA Chairman Mr Maroof Afzal in the chair.<\/p>\n
The chairman was told that the mechanical methods of sweeping were being introduced at major avenues and that the cleanliness drive would be extended to other sectors such as G-6, G-7, G-8, G-9, G-10 and I-11.<\/p>\n
Mr Afzal was also told that the Sanitation Directorate had introduced another project for door-to-door collection of household garbage in Sector I-8 and various vehicles were being used for that purpose.<\/p>\n
